The United Nations has started an inquiry against the UK Government (the Tories) for grave and systemic violations against disabled people. (With special thanks to Jane Young) The inquiry is to check whether the Tories have broken European law which they agreed to abide by - specifically under 2 treaties it had signed up to: 1) International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR) 2) United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD) These treaties were specifically written to protect disabled people from mistreatment by their own Government.
