On Wednesday, Western Journalism posted an extensive report on the disclosure that numerous previously hidden stockpiles of chemical weapons have been found in Iraq. That post — “Bombshell: What The New York Times Just Revealed Could Totally Rewrite Debate On Bush’s Iraq War” — was based largely on a New York Times investigation. Despite the discovery of an untold number of shells and canisters containing chemical weapons, the Times article contended that President George W. Bush was wrong in launching the Iraq War, in part at least, in order to keep dangerous WMDs out of the hands of terrorists....
